Easy Peasy Keema Peas


½ Kg Lamb Mince

2 tablespoons Sunflower Oil

2 medium onions, peeled and sliced

1 large tsp Garlic paste

1 large tsp Ginger paste

10 oz chopped tomatoes

1 tsp Salt or to taste

4 tsp Chilli Flakes Red or 1 tsp Chilli Powder

½ tsp Ground Turmeric

2 tsp Ground Cumin

2 tsp Ground Coriander

1 tsp Garam Masala

Squirt of Tomato Puree

1 cup Frozen Peas

Handful Fresh Coriander, chopped

Few Green Chillies, chopped


Lets cook:

Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Add the onions and fry them till beginning to brown.

Add the ginger and garlic. Add to the browned onions. Fry for a few minutes.

Add remaining spices and fry for a few minutes on lower heat

Add the tomatoes and stir in.

Add the tomato puree and cook for about 5 minutes on medium heat

Add the lamb mince and brown the meat.

Add ½ cup water and cover for 40 minutes on a low heat to cook through.

Add peas.  Add a little more water if it looks dry. Cook for 10 minutes until the peas are cooked.

Add the fresh coriander and green chillies, and serve!
